Outreach

The Carpenter’s Table was formed in 2001, by concerned people from Tyger River Presbyterian Church, Joy Lutheran Church, and Nazareth Presbyterian Church. A food pantry was established to provide assistance to people in need on the west side of Spartanburg County. In 2004, there were just 32 families served by the food pantry. Currently, our Outreach Center serves hundreds of households each month.

The Carpenter’s Table is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization. They rely heavily on food and monetary contributions from individuals and businesses in the area.

Card Ministry

All skill levels invited.  Pastor provides a list of folks and we make appropriate cards. After cards are made everyone writes a note. They are addressed and we gather them together and pray over them before mailing.

Backpack
Ministry

Through financial support and food donations we are able to provide food to students in our local schools. These children receive a backpack of food every weekend. This ministry usually packs bags after the 10:30 service. 
Joy will typically pack 240 backpacks at a time.
Many hands make light work we love to have the kids help!     

This ministry packs backpacks only when school is in session.
