What is a Lutheran?

The Lutheran church is part of the Protestant Christian family of churches tracing its roots to the 16th-century Reformation. As followers of Jesus Christ, we trust the Holy Scriptures as God’s Word and use Martin Luther’s writings as a guide in interpreting and applying them. We believe that by God’s grace, we live confidently with God and generously serve the world.

At Joy Lutheran Church, we come from many faith backgrounds. You are invited to grow with us in faith, ministry, and fellowship.


Come As You Are

We encourage you to come as you are—dress ranges from casual to traditional Sunday attire, and you are welcome in whatever makes you feel comfortable. Our worship services are open to all and all baptized believers are welcome at Holy Communion.
